Abstract

Sensitivity and selectivity of gauges on the oxidn. basis to aniline may be improved by using Al2O3, TiO2 and ZrO2 dopes. Dependences between the thickness of the films, temp. of processing. formation of sensitivity and stability of sensor controls are established. The most perspective results are achieved with use of films contg. Al2O3 and TiO2 with the thickness of 160 nm and which are subjected to heat treatment at 700°C in oxygen within 60 min.

The thickness of water film on the surface of sorbent was a factor affecting the selectivity of stationary phase.

Intermol. interactions of PMMA modified with Ag, Cu, or Nd trifluoroacetate were studied using gas-liq. chromatog. Donor-acceptor complexation with respect to nucleophilic compds. was obsd. This effect was attributed to delocalization of vacant orbitals of metal ions in competitive interaction with trifluoroacetate ion and the polymer matrix. Perspective use of modified PMMA as a selective phase in chromatog. was discussed.

A method is proposed for the simultaneous detn. of the constituents of a redox couple using data of potentiometric titrn. It is based on the correlation and regression anal. of the modified Gran function. The method was validated using a model titrn. Fe(II)/Fe(III)-K2Cr2O7 system. For comparable starting concns. of oxidized and reduced iron species, the detn. error does not exceed 0.6%; relative std. deviation for Fe(II) and Fe(III) are 0.1-0.2% and 1.5%, resp.

The method is based on the use of a math. model for the transformation of the branch of a titrn. curve in the region of potentials of a reversible redox couple into a linear regression characteristic whose slope numerically coincides with the equiv. titrant vol. to an accuracy of the LS estn. The method was verified in the model titrimetric system Mohr''s salt-K2Cr2O7 and used for detg. tellurium in an individual soln., in a semiconductor CdTe alloy, and in a CdTe ceramic. The random error in the estn. of the equivalence point by the data of a sep. titrn. of 0.1-0.01 M solns. does not exceed 0.3%. In the case of titrn. of a 0.001 M soln., this error increases to 1.2%. The value of relative std. deviation varies from 0.06 to 0.7%.

Abstract

A method was developed for computerized processing of the curves of potentiometric differential titrn. using pptn. reactions. This method is based on the transformation of the titrn. curve into a line of multiphase regression, whose parameters det. the equiv. points and the soly. products of the formed ppts. The computational algorithm is realized as a computer program written in PASCAL and is tested using theor. titrn. curves (simulated by the Monte Carlo method) and exptl. titrn. curves for a soln. contg. Hg(II) and Cd(II) by sodium diethyldithiocarbamate, monitored by using chalcogenide (CdS and HgS) and metal (Ag and Pt) electrodes. The random errors (relative std. deviation) for the titrn. of 1 ´ 10-3-1 ´ 10-4 M solns. are at 3-6%. A method for the calcn. of the electrode-function slope based on the data of potentiometric differential titrn. is also suggested, and the effect of the measuring errors on the estd. values of the equiv. points is considered.
